It’s that time of year again – time for our annual making and breaking of New Year Resolutions. We are all inundated with lots of conventional advice on what to do or what to avoid as we embark on a new trip around the sun. I have certainly dispensed my share of tips and strategies to clients over the years.

If you’re like most people, there’s a good chance that you’ve may have already fallen off the wagon with some of your resolutions. In case, you’re someone who struggles with big goal setting, I want to give you an easy way to have a breakthrough year.

I have one simple question for you to consider each and every day. That question is:

What can I do today (right now) that will make a difference?

That’s it. Simply be more purposeful in focusing on things each day that move you forward. Whether you are working on your career, your health or another area of your life: do those things each day that will make a difference. By focusing on the most important things daily, you will immediately start to weed out a lot of the inconsequential stuff. The stuff that bogs you down and gets in the way of you being the best version of yourself.
